Xiaomi has finally started the official rollout of its next big software update, namely Xiaomi HyperOS 3. This new version brings a host of performance enhancements, a number of refined UI elements, and even smarter AI features to Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO phones. In fact, with users enthusiastically looking out for the Xiaomi HyperOS 3 release date, especially in India, the company has confirmed that the OTA packages are being pushed out in phases. The entire rollout is expected to continue through late 2025 and extend into early 2026, depending on model and region.

What is HyperOS 3?

The new Xiaomi HyperOS 3 update is based on Android 16 for its flagships and newer mid-range models, while some model variants will stick to a base of Android 15. HyperOS 3 brings new fluid animations, faster task switching, major memory management improvements, and AI-backed enhancements throughout the system.

One of the major additions is HyperIsland, Xiaomi’s version of an interactive notification hub—the idea is similar to Dynamic Island, with live activity tracking, call alerts, music controls, and more. The OS also throws in enhanced on-device AI for smarter photo sorting, voice recognition, and contextual suggestions.

Xiaomi HyperOS 3 Release Timeline

While many users are questioning the Xiaomi HyperOS 3 release date, Xiaomi has pointed out that it started rolling out in October–November 2025 in phases. The company initiated with flagship models before updating mid-range Redmi and POCO smartphones. Due to the complexity of device hardware and regional variants, Xiaomi cannot push all updates simultaneously.

According to the official Xiaomi roadmap, all eligible Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO devices should get the update by March 2026. Early rollouts have already been spotted globally, and Indian users should see a steady expansion throughout late 2025.

POCO Devices Confirmed for HyperOS 3

The POCO lineup is one of the most awaited segments to receive this update. According to various reports and rollout trackers, the Xiaomi HyperOS 3 update has either arrived or is scheduled for the following models in the POCO lineup:

  • POCO F7 Pro
Set to receive HyperOS 3 based on Android 16, reports have come in on internal testing builds; the stable rollout is close.
  • POCO F7
Recent sources confirm that the build OS3.0.3.0.WOLMIXM is being prepared for wider release.
  • POCO X7 / X7 Pro
These models have started getting the HyperOS 3 in certain regions of the world. and India is expected to follow soon.
  • POCO M6 Series
Newer units are starting to receive OS3.0.2.0.WNTMIXM, meaning the rollout has begun.

That means that the Xiaomi HyperOS 3 update is coming very soon to the latest mid-range and upper mid-range models of POCO.

Why the Rollout Is Staggered

Xiaomi’s OTA releases are closely coupled with hardware tuning, modem compatibility, regional stability testing, and carrier constraints. Therefore, even though a large number of devices are technically eligible, updates arrive at different times. Newer devices generally receive the update first, followed by older mid-range models.

  • Back up photos, videos, and personal files
